
August 2012: GND Sponsors IMA Sandblast Benefitting Miracle League of Frisco
On September 14, 2012, GND will be sponsoring one of the courts and participating in the annual 4-on-4 sand volleyball tournament hosted by IMA which benefits The Miracle League of Frisco. GND will be defending its 2011 tournament championship.
The Miracle League offers baseball, soccer, bowling and other sports opportunities for special needs children ages 5 to 18 with all levels of disabilities from throughout the North Texas area. March 2012:Kimber Davison Speaks at 2012 Annual State Bar Construction Law Conference
Kimber Davison delivered a speech titled, “The Purchase Order: The Document that Gets the Sticks and Bricks to the Project” at the 25th Annual State Bar of Texas Construction Law Conference on March 2, 2012. The speech focused on various important and often overlooked provisions of Purchase Orders, the document pursuant to which critical materials are delivered to construction projects. March 2012:GND Attorneys Attend 2012 Texas Construction Law Conference
Several GND attorneys attended and represented the firm at the 25th Annual Construction Law Conference which was held March 1-2 at the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio. The Annual Conference held each spring is sponsored by the Construction Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and features presentations on a variety of construction law topics presented by leading construction law professionals.
Feburary 2012:GND Names Jeff Rusthoven as Partner
The firm is pleased to announce the addition of a new Partner, Jeff Rusthoven, who has served in the firm’s litigation section since 1999. Mr. Rusthoven attended the University of Texas where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors in Business Administration. Mr. Rusthoven then attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where he received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration. After graduate school, Mr. Rusthoven obtained his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, where he was named to the Order of the Barristers and Practice Court assistant to Professor Luis Muldrow. Mr. Rusthoven then completed a Clerkship for William J. Cornelius, Chief Justice of the Sixth District Court of Appeals in 1999. After completing his judicial clerkship, Mr. Rusthoven joined GND. Since that time, he has gained extensive trial and litigation experience, handling complex construction matters, as well as general commercial and business litigation matters. Mr. Rusthoven is a member of the State Bar of Texas’ and Dallas Bar Association’s Construction Law Section. Mr. Rusthoven resides in Plano with his wife, Gobriel, and their three children.
